Anyone train in for real?
Post here what you train. Yes I will even count wrestling, no bs kung fu or tae kwon do. Karate only counts if it is full contact. Also if fight would be even better.

I am training, but I am not in the right gym right now. I feel once I can afford a better gym my game will improve rapidly. And Dave L. I will keep in contact with you if I need a fight

Re: Anyone train in for real?
I've been a Tengu Ninja since I was 10 and I am a nearly undefeated Boxer and Wrestler. Only 1 loss on my wrestling record and only 2 on my boxing.
I am also nearly undefeated in Tengu Ninjistu quarter annual Kumite tourneys which have similar ways to win as MMA except that there really is not anything illegal you can do. (Groin shots, biting, and scratching are legal)

I wonder how many of you are lying ... Its good to see so many of us training though. Good stuff
I am a blue belt in BJJ but did sub grappling for a while before BJJ. If sub grappling was belted I would be a purple belt.

Re: Anyone train in for real?
I have been trying to break into MMA but don't really know how.
Other than that the only place to train MMA in Washington is a place up in Kirkland with there fight team the White Buffalo Warriors, and Gas is way too pricey for me to make that trek on a daily basis. other than that, I do the majority of my training solo.

I won't lie... I'm an armchair ninja.
On another note.. I aspire to be able to have the time to try my hand at some of this stuff eventually...

Re: Anyone train in for real?
At the very least 4-5 people aren't lying.
I train wrestling primarily, but my school wrestling club also serves as a base for a wrestling-based MMA team... I think it took them a few months to get me to do MMA too
I officially start that next week.

I used to fight with my brother all of the time. Does that count?
If you want to talk about NHB anything is legal... yeah that about sums up those fights.

Re: Anyone train in for real?
I went to a seminar with Saulo Riberio teaching. That was freaking awesome. I wish I would of started wrestling and BJJ at a young age. also I wish I would of took up boxing and muay thai younger also. I don't train boxing but and the muay thai over here negelects sparring and teaching us how to technically punch. So the only instruction I have had for technical boxing has come from the internet and a short two week boxing class I took.
